MOON IMAGES 12/23/2002
This was a second attempt at shooting the moon. One difference was that I let the lens auto-focus on the moon versus trying to do a manual focus. This seemed to help with image quality tho the night I took these was a lot clearer than for my 12/19 images.
Equipment: Canon D60, EF 35-350mm f3.5/f5.6 USM lens, tripod, mirror lockup enabled. Used autofocus for these shots.
Exposure: ISO 100 f9.5 at 1/350th of a second.
Software: used IMAGES PLUS for stacking images
Here are the two images that I finally arrived at.
First, From IMAGES PLUS.

Then: I just took my best image and ran it thru an unsharp mask in PhotoShop 7.
I don't think there is a major difference here. All that stacking effort really did not buy me much.
