St. Vincent / Young Island Resort

Sue and I celebrated New Years Eve at the Young Island Resort on the Island of St. Vincent. We joined our friends from New York City there. We dove with the dive operation, Dive St. Vincent owned and operated by Bill Tewes. He is into "critters". If you want to see different stuff and are not focused on the big fish, Bill is your man. We had a great time.

Young Island Resort is a great place to go. The food is absolutely first class and as close to 5 star quality as I can imagine. Every meal is a wonderful experience. I loved our Hut where we stayed also. It was clean and comfortable. Didn't need air conditioning tho it was available.

However, LIAT Airlines!!!! I will NEVER EVER fly this airline again unless there is absolutely no choice. They stranded us for a day in San Juan on the flight to St. Vincent and then stranded us again in Barbados when we tried to return. To add insult to injury, they also lost my wife's bag. These people do not care about their customers. Its a real disaster in my opinion. We might go back, but we'll utilize a charter air service from Barbados to St. Vincent rather than LIAT.
