These images show the components and final products of the blending process that I used. The blending of images is an excellent way to create images which have better shadow and highlight detail. Photoshop CS2 does have a new Shadow/Detail tool but I've found that by bracketing a series of shots to be blended together later, I can achieve a significantly better result. Another blending process involves blending for depth of field. This is a process that I've not tried yet but looks very interesting.
